Interactive Cooking Classes

Brisbane Markets® has partnered with James St Cooking School to offer a range of interactive cooking classes during 2018. The classes will be demonstration-style sessions led by one of James St Cooking School’s professional chefs in the Market Kitchen at the Brisbane Markets®.

About the cooking classes

There will be a range of classes to suit all tastes and each class will be capped at 10-12 people to ensure that everyone enjoys a personalised cooking experience. Classes are as follows:

Protein Plus BBQ

Perfect for any meat lover, this class covers cooking a range of meat to perfection as well as a range of nutritious sides.


  • Centre-cut rump steak with rosemary chat potatoes
  • Tasmanian Atlantic salmon fillet with light cajun spice on a rocket, cucumber & avocado salad
  • Chicken breast with kalamata olives, basil & roasted garlic

Tuesday, 20 March 6 – 8pm $100 per person exc. GST

Vego Variations

A great class for vegetarians but this delicious menu will suit everyone. The chef will also explain how easy it is to add meat to each of these dishes.


  • Super pilaf, brown basmati, lentils, roasted garlic & shallot
  • Warm salad of sweet potato, cashew nut & spinach with roasted pumpkin seed oil
  • Penne pasta & char grilled vegetables tossed in a spicy tomato & mushroom sauce
