Brisbane Markets Limited (BML) has completed a comprehensive review of the Brisbane Markets Regulations, following an extensive consultation process undertaken in collaboration with the Brisbane Markets Regulations Review Committee (BMRCC).

This Committee comprised a cross-section of Brisbane Markets Tenants, together with representatives from BML and Brismark, to ensure the Regulations reflect the current needs of the market community.
As part of this review, the Brisbane Markets Traffic Management Plan was also independently assessed by BML’s Traffic Engineer to ensure, as far as reasonably practicable, that it remains current and supports the safe and efficient operation of the Brisbane Markets.
The Regulations and Traffic Management Plan have been endorsed by the BMRCC and the Boards of BML and Brismark and are scheduled to come into effect on Saturday, 1 August 2026.
An online version of the Regulations and Traffic Management Plan can be found here. Hard copy booklets will be distributed to all Tenant Principals once available.
As you would expect, the review had a significant focus on Site safety and operational requirements.
To support the implementation of the new Regulations and Traffic Management Plan, BML will be providing information relating to the changes as well as conducting information sessions and workshops. Further details, including session dates, will be communicated in coming weeks.
