Building H1 raises the roof!

Construction of Brisbane Markets Limited (BML)’s latest warehouse development at South Gate West is currently on track to be completed in March 2023.

Fortunately, the construction program was not significantly affected by weather events over the past several months, with structural steel assembly on the $23.2 million, 5,987 m2 warehouse slated for completion by the end of September 2022.

Construction on the Building H1 warehouse is progressing well.

The other major components of the build are the installation of the roof sheeting and pouring of the main warehouse slab, both of which are currently on track for completion by the end of October.

Underground hydraulic, electrical and telecommunications service installation for the main warehouse have commenced and are due to be completed by the end of September, with installation of external services already complete.

Office tilt slabs and concrete floor slabs are complete and the installation of services is complete in office areas.

The lift well, roof access stairwell and finger docks have all been finalised, with the site’s main hardstand currently at 95% completion.

The installation of cold room panel will take place from mid-October and will be completed over a nine-week program, ahead of the warehouse fitout, including concrete klickers, doors and sliding doors.

The completed building will be tenanted by Green Endeavour, the parent entity of existing Brisbane Markets Tenants, Fruitlink and Suncoast Fresh.
