Circular to Shareholders

2024 Dividend Amendment

Dear Shareholder

Brisbane Markets Limited (BML) is writing to inform you of some important information in relation to the dividend paid to you on 12 April 2024. Please read this letter carefully and take the appropriate action based on the situation that applies to you.

What has occurred?
BML paid an unfranked dividend of 9.0 cents per share to shareholders on 12 April 2024. At the time of making that payment, we also provided you with a dividend payment advice for this dividend, which indicated that the dividend was not franked, and in some cases, we advised that tax had been deducted from the dividend.
BML is revising the level of franking applicable to this dividend from unfranked (0%) to fully franked (100%). BML has recently received advice from the Australian Taxation Office that provides approval for this amendment to occur. If this change is not made, BML will be in a position of dividend franking deficit at 30 June 2024.
Where tax was previously deducted from the payment made, you will receive a payment to your bank account. In all other cases, shareholders will not receive a payment but should be aware that the franking rate has increased, so there is likely to be a benefit to you as a result.

Action recommended to Shareholders
BML has issued a revised dividend statement to shareholders for the dividend payment dated 12 April 2024. You will receive this statement direct from the share registry by email today or in the mail. It is the responsibility of each shareholder to ensure that the relevant change is made to your income tax return for the year ended 30 June 2024 based on this revised statement. If you have already lodged your income tax return for 2024, it is likely that you will be entitled to a refund of tax already paid.
BML recommends that all Shareholders seek advice relevant to your personal situation and any action required.

Ongoing Information Updates
BML will provide ongoing updates to shareholders in relation to any significant matters that may occur. BML will continue to make all shareholder announcements available on its website. In addition, BML will also continue to email shareholders where an email address has been supplied or mail the relevant information to shareholders where we do not hold an email address.

We encourage all shareholders to receive updates by email, and direct payment of dividends to your bank account. Shareholders can update communication preferences and arrange for direct credit of dividends to your bank account via the investor page at www.computershare.com.au or contact Computershare on 1300 850 505.
