Brisbane Markets Limited (BML) played host to two visiting groups recently, with horticulture trainees from Lockyer Valley grower, Bare Essential, and delegates from Rural Bank, a division of Bendigo Bank, visiting at the Markets in recent weeks.

Visitors were impressed by the quantity, quality and variety of produce on the trading floor, and showed considerable interest in the workings of Market operations. The tours proved a great opportunity to educate a range of stakeholders about the Brisbane Markets and the wholesaling sector of the supply chain, with many Wholesalers on the trading floor answering questions.

On Wednesday, 5 June, 15 agri-business representatives from Rural Bank, a division of Bendigo Bank, undertook a tour of the Central Trading Area and, following their tour, were welcomed into the Fresh Centre Training Rooms to get a more in depth run down of the operation of the Brisbane Markets, the importance of Central Market system and their role in the horticulture supply chain.
Thank you to everyone who made our guests feel welcome!
