The Brisbane Markets observes the public holidays in December and January and will be closed for trading on those days.
Tenant access
Tenants will continue to have full access to site (24-hours-a-day) during the public holidays listed below via the Main and Western entries. The Curzon Street entry will be closed on the public holidays.

- Monday, 27 January 2025 (in lieu of Australia Day 26 January)
On the following days, the Main and Western entries will be open 24/7 and the Curzon Street entry will be open 2am – 2pm.

Buyer access
Although the Brisbane Markets is officially closed for trading on weekends and public holidays, Buyers who have made prior arrangements with their Wholesaler(s) will be permitted access during the Christmas/New Year period to collect produce by arrangement, as follows:
Saturday, 21 December 2024
Site access is available to Buyers who have made prior arrangements with their wholesaler(s), as usual. Access into the Markets on Saturday should be through the Western Gate.
Sunday, 22 December 2024
Sunday is expected to be busy, and as a result, the following arrangements will apply:
Buyers who have made prior arrangements with their Wholesaler(s) will be permitted access to the site on Sunday from 5.30am to 9am through the Main Entry.
In picking up stock from Wholesalers, the options for Buyers are as follows:
- If before 6.30am, Buyers may park in the truck parking areas north of Building D to receive produce; OR
- If after 6.30am, Buyers may park in the Covered Unloading Area/Reserved Loading Bays to receive produce; OR
- For smaller orders, or if only picking up produce from a small number of Wholesalers, produce may be picked up directly from the Wholesaler’s premises.
