A new generator has been installed at the Fresh Centre, which will assist with maintaining services at Brisbane Markets during disaster response and recovery scenarios.
As part of Brisbane Markets Limited (BML)’s disaster preparedness, the Fresh Centre generator provides backup power to phone and network connectivity across the Brisbane Markets site, in the event that the main power is lost.
It also provides power contingency to BML’s IT and CCTV infrastructure, enabling continued administration and monitoring of the site when power is unavalable due to power network failure, accident, emergency or disaster.
