What time can I Bump-in?
Registered Stallholder vehicles may enter the Brisbane Markets
- Tuesday, 23 December, from 1 to 3pm.
Second Vehicle:
- The second vehicle may be used only for unloading and must do so promptly. After unloading, it must either be parked in the Stallholder Car Park (CLA-2) or leave the site.
- Stalls have been specifically allocated to allow vehicle parking at the rear of the stall area with direct drive-in access. If the Stallholder chooses to use the entire space for the stall display, then their vehicle must be parked in the designated Stallholder car park (CLA2)
- Trailers: If you are bringing a trailer, it must be parked in the designated Stallholder car park (CLA2) unless it is the stall display e.g. Food Van
Can I leave early?
No. For safety reasons, early pack-down or vehicle access before 8pm is not permitted.
All Stallholders must trade from 3.30 to 8pm and complete pack down and bump-out between 8.15pm and 10pm while wearing hi-visibility vests and enclosed footwear.
Are stall booking fees refundable?
Stall fees are non-refundable unless stated otherwise in the Special Event Cancellation Policy.
What can I sell at the Festive Fresh Night Market?
Approved stall categories include:
- Gourmet pantry items: sauces, condiments, jams, baked goods (not for consumption onsite).
- Homewares and décor: candles, kitchenware, tableware, décor, and festive gifts.
- Fashion and accessories: clothing, jewellery, bags, and handmade items (new only).
- Footwear
- Pet gifts and products: accessories, treats, and toys.
- Plants and garden gifts: potted plants, succulents, and small garden décor.
- Children’s gifts and toys: books, games, and crafts (non-electronic).
- Christmas and seasonal products: decorations, hampers, and handmade festive goods.
Note: Takeaway food, beverage, and fresh produce stalls are not part of the self-booking categories. If your products fall into these areas, please contact the Saturday Fresh Market office on 07 3915 4277 or sfm@brisbanemarkets.com.au before submitting your booking.
What can I not sell at the Festive Fresh Night Market?
- Animals
- Illegal, counterfeit, or weapon-related items
- Alcohol for onsite consumption
- Second-hand or used goods
- Anti-social, offensive, or discriminatory materials
Note: all products offered for sale must comply with relevant Australian laws and Brisbane MarketPlace Stallholder Trading Terms and Conditions. Any prohibited or non-compliant items may be removed from sale at the discretion of Market Management.
Do I need insurance?
Public liability insurance is required for Stallholders providing a dine-in food offering, for rides and entertainment providers, and for Stallholders who set up equipment and stock on a Friday or leave Market Stall equipment or stock on the Land, operate a forklift within the market site, or allow members of the public to enter inside the stall area. When required, public liability insurance must be at least $10 million per occurrence. A valid Certificate of Currency must be available upon request by Market Management.
Will power be available?
Yes. Power will be available for Stallholders to operate basic lighting and low-draw electrical equipment. There is no charge for basic stall lighting.
All electrical items must be tested and tagged by a certified electrical contractor in accordance with AS/NZS 3760.
Non-compliant items will be disconnected and removed from the power source.
Is the event undercover?
Yes. The Festive Fresh Night Market is an all-weather, undercover event, so trading will proceed regardless of rain.
Is there an ATM onsite?
There are ATMs available close by. One is located next to Rocklea Kebab and Pizza Shop (in the commercial strip of shops on Sherwood Road), and another is located at the Caltex Service Station just up the road from the Saturday Fresh Market.
How are stalls allocated?
Stalls will be allocated by the SFM Team. Stallholders cannot select their own positions.
I haven’t been a Stallholder at this event before – how will I know where to go?
On the day, our Market team and security staff will be onsite to guide you to your allocated stall. Clear signage and marked bays are provided throughout the venue to help with navigation.
Can I sell items on behalf of someone else?
Yes. However, the person who makes the booking is responsible for following all market rules, including booking terms, refund policy and safety obligations
Do I need safety gear?
Yes. All persons entering the Brisbane Markets MUST wear a hi-visibility vest and enclosed footwear during bump-in and bump-out periods.
