When can I bump in to the event?

Date: Saturday, 16 January 2027 (there is no option of Friday bump in for this event)

Time: 4am – 5am

Required: Hi-Visibility vests and enclosed footwear

All persons entering the Brisbane Markets during setup, must wear a Hi-Visibility vest and/or safety attire and enclosed footwear. This is a condition under the Brisbane Markets Regulations and Workplace Health and Safety legislation for all persons entering the high-risk worksite.


When can I bump out from the event?

Date: Saturday 16 January 2027

Time: 12.15 – 2pm (for public safety, no vehicles may enter or exit the event space before 12.15pm. The event space must be vacated by 2pm)

What if I am running late?

Entry to set up closes strictly at 5am. Stallholders arriving late will not be permitted to enter and will forfeit their stall fee.


Do I need to bring my own equipment?

Yes. Trestle tables, racks, trolleys, a change float, chair, etc. No electricity is supplied to these event only stall locations.

If you are using a marquee (not mandatory for this event), it is your responsibility to ensure it is adequately weighted down, we recommend at least 15kg of weight per marquee leg.


Will I be allocated a stall number before the event?

No. All Stallholder stall positions are undercover. Stall spaces will be allocated on the day based on stall size and arrival time. This means stalls will be assigned in the order that vendors arrive, to ensure seamless logistics and avoid traffic jams due to the volume of cars.


Will there be help when I arrive?

Yes. Saturday Fresh Market staff members, who are identifiable by a yellow Hi-Visibility vest, will be on-site to assist with directions, stall areas and parking. Clear signage will be in place

Stallholders must enter through the main entry of the Brisbane Markets at 385 Sherwood Road, Rocklea. Follow the signs marked “Stallholder Entry”.


Can I park my vehicle in my stall?

Yes. Each stall has been allocated to allow direct drive-in access, with vehicles to remain parked within the stall for the duration of the event. However, if you are bringing a trailer, you must book two stalls. A single stall is not large enough for both a vehicle and trailer. Trailer disconnection is not allowed onsite. If unsure about your setup, contact the Saturday Fresh Market before booking.


Can I run a cash-only stall?

Yes. There is an ATM available at the Caltex service station just up the road from Saturday Fresh Market..


Can I bring animals and/or pets?

No. Only certified assistance animals are allowed.


What if I sell out early?

You must remain onsite until bump out starts at 12.15pm. Vehicles cannot move before then.


Can I leave rubbish or unwanted goods behind?

No. Stallholders must remove all rubbish, equipment and unsold goods. The site must be left clean. Brisbane Markets is monitored by CCTV and roving security. Stallholders who leave items behind may receive a written warning and be excluded from future events. Serious breaches may also be reported to Brisbane City Council under illegal dumping laws.


What areas of the market can I access?

You can only access your allocated stall and public areas of the Saturday Fresh Market. You are not permitted to enter a Tenancy or restricted area.


Can I smoke on site or at my stall?

No. The site is smoke-free, including stalls and all public areas.


Can customers pre-book or reserve items?

No. All sales must be made in person on the day. You can exchange contact details for future sales, but pre-orders are not managed by the Market.


Do I need to give a customer a receipt?

You are not required to provide receipts, but it is recommended, especially for higher-value items.


What are my warranty and refund obligations?

Second-hand goods sold by private sellers are not covered by consumer guarantees, but they must not be misrepresented. Display a clear refund policy. For example. No refunds unless faulty.

Photography

The Saturday Fresh market may engage a professional photographer to take photos and video at the event. Stallholders are asked to participate with a product or subject matter when requested as part of the photography program. All images are available on request and remain the property of the Saturday Fresh Market. Photography and or videography including media accessing the site is by prior approval only.

Stallholder Parking

Each stall has been allocated to allow direct drive-in access, with vehicles to remain parked within the stall space for the duration of the event. However, if you are bringing a trailer, you must book two stalls. A single stall is not large enough for both a vehicle and trailer. Trailer disconnection is not allowed onsite. 

If a Stallholder brings a second vehicle, it must not tow a trailer. Second vehicles are permitted only for unloading and must do so quickly before being parked in the Stallholder Car Park (CLA-2) or removed from the site.

Main vehicles must remain parked within the stall space at all times.

The internal Stallholder Car Park is accessible from 4am to 5.30am. After 6am, the overflow customer car park (free parking) may be used for ease of access and entry, with only a short walk to the event area. Please refer to the map below.
