The presentation of the Central Trading Area (CTA) has improved following a significant project to clean down surfaces and refresh the line marking in this area.
From late July through to early August, Brisbane Markets Limited (BML) worked closely with Tenants to establish clearways across the CTA to accommodate the works program.
During the wash down of the entire CTA asphalt surface and pedestrian walkways, BML was able to assess drainage in this area to confirm water flow and identify any potential blockages.
Line marking was then refreshed progressively over several days to clearly mark out the licensed areas Tenants use to display produce, the designated forklift work areas, Buyer Bays, stormwater grates, exclusion zones and road markings.
Maintaining clear road markings is an essential component in promoting safe vehicle movements in this high-traffic area.
