Brisbane Markets Limited (BML) observes the gazetted public holidays that apply to Christmas, New Year and Australia Day and will be closed for trading on those days.
Tenant access
Tenants will continue to have Access to the site 24-hours-a-day on all days, including public holidays, via the Main and Western Entries. On the public holidays listed below, the Main Entry and Western Entry will be OPEN, the Curzon Street Entry will be CLOSED.

Buyer access
Although the Brisbane Markets is officially closed for trading on weekends and public holidays, Buyers who have made prior arrangements with their Wholesaler(s) will be permitted access during the Christmas/New Year period to collect produce by arrangement, as follows:
Saturday, 27 December 2025: Site access is available to Buyers who have made prior arrangements with their Wholesaler(s), as usual. Access into the Markets on Saturday should be through the Western Gate.
Sunday, 28 December 2025: Sunday is expected to be busy, and as a result, the following arrangements will apply. Buyers who have made prior arrangements with their Wholesaler(s) will be permitted access to the site on Sunday from 5am to 7am through the Main Entry and must exit the site by 8am.
